Several local Post Offices including Leckford, Anna Valley and Goodworth Clatford are under threat of closure. These Post Offices are a life line to elderly people who cannot easily travel into the town centre to cash their pensions. The Andover town post office is far too overused - the staff try their best but on some days the queues are nearly outside the doors. In New York they tried to pass a law that would make it mandatory for all food to have also listed what was in it. Of course some restaurants have secret ingredients and this was problematic.

Another recent development was the idea that Transfat would not be allowed to be sold in restaurants, but restaurant owners proclaim; If we do that and take out all dishes with transfat then the food will taste horrible and no one will buy it, we may as well close our doors now if this legislation goes into affect.
